Travelling back towards the city, you'll cross over the epic West Gate Bridge (which affords sensational views of the skyline) to visit historical Williamstown. One of Melbourne’s oldest suburbs, Willie (as the locals call it) served as the city’s main port in the early years of European settlement. Heritage must-sees include Gem Pier, Customs House and the Time Ball Tower.
